Meet Your Instructors
Larry MacKinnon is a dedicated first aid and self-defence instructor who loves building confidence and helping people stay safe. He's a retired RCMP member with real-world experience in safety and response. A second-degree black belt Jiu-Jitsu professor, he teaches practical skills that work when it matters most. He is also an open water, search and recovery, and technical diver/instructor as well as a boat instructor. Larry is a member of Skownan First Nation.


Gitane Ouellet is a first aid instructor and a former registered nurse with a strong background in health education. She's worked in Northern Manitoba and brings a respectful and down-to-earth approach to her teaching, creating a safe and supportive learning space for everyone. She's focused on sharing practical skills and knowledge that can help people in real situations.
